This piece was created for the Lahore Digital Arts Festival (5 – 23 March, 2021) in response to their theme Post Reality.
The theme calls on artists to reevaluate our relationship with technology and how our perceptions of reality may have changed in our use of it during the Covid-19 pandemic. I saw this as an opportunity to reflect on the differences on traditional and digital art making processes, how digital media can be used to enhance or change the meaning of traditional work and whether that alters the meaning of the work if the steps taken to make it are laid bare.
